Health authorities in the Gaza Strip reported that 38 Palestinians were martyred and 204 others wounded in the past 24 hours, as the Israeli offensive on Gaza continues across various regions of the enclave. The figures were compiled by hospitals throughout the Gaza Strip but exclude the northern region, where access remains severely restricted due to heavy fighting.

Emergency services warned that numerous victims remain trapped beneath rubble or lie unattended in the streets. Ongoing bombardments and widespread destruction of infrastructure have made it impossible for rescue teams to reach many areas, particularly in the north.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry report, the cumulative death toll since October 7, 2023, has now reached 53,939, with at least 122,797 injured. Health officials emphasize that these numbers may rise further as access to many areas remains blocked and recovery efforts are delayed.

Since March 18, 2025, alone, 3,785 people have been killed and 10,756 injured. The Ministry of Health described this phase as one of the most intense and destructive since the beginning of the war.

Medical teams continue to appeal for safe access to the wounded and call for urgent international intervention. The lack of humanitarian corridors, coupled with a breakdown in medical and civil infrastructure, has compounded the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

A spokesperson for emergency medical services stressed that they couldn't reach the wounded, adding that entire neighborhoods were under rubble. 

The Gaza death toll update highlights the urgent need for ceasefire efforts and humanitarian support, as conditions on the ground deteriorate and thousands remain at risk.

In a related context, local authorities reported that an Israeli airstrike killed another Palestinian journalist in Gaza on Sunday, bringing the overall death toll since October 2023 to 220.

Hassan Majdi Abu Warda, director of the Barq Gaza news agency, was killed, along with a number of his family members, in the strike that targeted their home in the Jabalia al-Nazla neighborhood in northern Gaza, the Government Media Office said.

The office condemned "Israel’s" systematic assassination of Palestinian reporters in Gaza and called on human rights and media institutions to “condemn these systematic crimes against Gaza journalists.”

Ongoing Israeli aggression, siege on Gaza

Earlier today, Israeli attacks targeted multiple areas in the southern, central, and northern regions of the besieged enclave.

Occupation aircraft launched a series of intense airstrikes on the town of al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Simultaneously, heavy artillery shelling struck the towns of Abasan al-Kabira and al-Zana, east of Khan Younis, and one martyr was confirmed in the town of Abasan al-Kabira due to continued shelling in the same region.

Additionally, Israeli artillery bombarded Abasan al-Jadida, recording multiple injuries and widespread destruction to civilian infrastructure.

Moreover, in the central Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was killed and others were wounded in an Israeli drone strike that hit a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the al-Hasayneh area, west of the al-Nuseirat refugee camp. This incident highlights the increasing danger faced by civilians forced to flee their homes.

In the northern Gaza Strip, Jabalia was subjected to renewed bombardment as Israeli forces launched a fresh wave of airstrikes. Seven Palestinians were killed, and several others were injured.
