The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement announced the martyrdom of its founder, Secretary-General, and general commander of its military wing, Asaad Atiya Abu Sharia, alongside his brother, Ahmad, a member of the movement's General Secretariat and the official in charge of the Gaza sector.

In a statement, the movement detailed that Secretary-General Abu Sharia and his brother were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City's Sabra neighborhood on Saturday, along with dozens of their family members.

The movement hailed Abu Sharia’s legacy, describing him as a veteran fighter who engaged in countless battles over 25 years, dealing significant blows to the enemy while surviving five assassination attempts, during which he sustained severe injuries, without ever wavering in his armed resistance.

Regarding his family, the movement mentioned that martyr Abu Sharia had already lost five of his brothers as martyrs before Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and during this battle, he lost more than 150 family members, including his wife, children, brothers, sisters, their children, uncles, and their sons.
